Hi all. Some might remember me posting a link to a contest to win a weekend in my shop by submitting a project idea to build with me….well, the entries are closed and the "powers that be" have narrowed the entries down to three finalists. I'm hoping I can persuede you to come over and vote for which one you think would be the best "weekend build". (We're used to voting on projects here at LJ….right?)
I sincerely appreciate the help! Being a Canadian site, we don't get a ton of traffic, so I hope with the help of my southern neighbours we can get some serious vote #'s posted!
Hi Jim. Thanks! Did you vote on the site? I have absolutely NO bearing on the outcome, they are going by the posted votes only. I think you might have to register to vote, but it only takes a minute to do.
Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Girls included in that "guys" )
Hi Ryan, I vote for #1 also, but went to the website to vote and could not find a location to vote and it also said that the contest was closed…......................
Wow, I entered the contest and I'm #2. Tool cool! The picture is a box made by Alan Hicks and was posted on lumber jocks, project 17089 Thanks for the idea Alan. How about voting for another lumberjock You can see pictures of my girls in the bird feeder projects we made together. bird feeder
I registered to vote…just waiting for the conformation e-mail so I can be a member and vote…Alan…you got my vote. Look at my projects. I did the same thing for my kids.
Thanks Don! Your project is also great, exactly what I want to do. How great would it be to build something like that and have one of my girls show their kids the memory box and say "your grandpa made this for me when I just little" and show them all the treasures they have collected over the years.
well i was going to help out and vote, but it costs 28 dollars to do so….., its not just an easy vote to help someone win….its boosting business for this magazine…...so the rest of you jocks can know that up front before you go to the web site…....just a heads up on it.
Terrible.
It must be said. Have never liked "contests" like this.
Do we throw all other non-winning entries and their wonderful efforts to the side?
Too often it all comes down to who has the best presented photograph at the moment.
I didn't have to pay $28 dollars. At the bottom of the post I clicked on "My Home and Garden account". I had make up a user name and password and give my email and you can choose not to receive additional emails. I received an email to confirm my account, which I clicked on. I then closed the original webpage and reloaded it (I assume I could have just hit refresh) and then I had the option to choose 1, 2 or 3. Thanks all who have tried to vote.
WELL I GUESS I WAS AT THE WRONG SITE..I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO GET A MAMBERSHIP BEFORE YOU COULD VOTE….SORRY IF I WAS WRONG…I WILL TRY IT AGAIN AND SEE IF I GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME….IM TELLIN YA…OLD AGE IS DOING SOME FUNKY THINGS …..
