I made a pen for a friend's mom. Nothing special. It was just an engraved pen. Two nights work. I cleaned my shop before I started. It was only a pen!

When I was done my shop looked like this.

Just imagine the carnage if I hadn't spent the last 8 months arranging and rearranging. At least now it's easier to clean up since everything does have a place. You would have thought I was making a Malouf chair or something, and I started out saying to myself, "Self, put everything away". Obviously, my wife is right. I just don't listen. Apparently even to myself.

I just wanna grow up to be like you.
IDK, kinda looks like all you got to do is close a couple of drawers and you're good to go again.

ugh, you know there is a lever under the seat of that chair that will raise and lower it don't you? lol

Nice pen no matter what the mess.

Yeah. I have a short stool and a tall chair but this one just isn't quite high enuf sometimes.

Meet the stool family. Before you ask, yes the red one is adopted but we love him just as much.

I don't mind talking about your chairs, but talking about your stools is getting a little personal..
(insert embarrassed face here) :)

I don't see any sawdust on the floor, that must not be your shop?
leeroy i think the mess was staged.maybe talk to your doc about that stool problem ;-))
That's a fine looking pen. Well worth the mess
Sometimes it takes as long and just as many tools to make something small as it does to build a large project.
It takes every tool in the shed to build a shed.
Are you sure, Andy, that the red stool is a "him?" These days…...................
