Pretty cool. I have watched these vids every time you posted them, enjoyed watching. I seem to remember the original goal was to tear this down and build a new structure on the same spot… correct? If yes, then it leads me to a question.

Most every town I've lived in prohibits filling in large holes with trees and/or construction lumber. The reason being is that eventually all that old wood will rot and break down, and the ground filled in above it will sink. Thereby causing foundation problems in the future.

Just curious… did you check with your building department before dumping in all that wood?

I live in a town with no zoning laws. I plan on putting fruit trees where the old foundation was, and the new garage is going right on the existing concrete slab for the old one. If I ever get ambitious and build a gazebo, it will be on cinder blocks.
