A hot deal is a significant discount (including shipping) on DIY or workshop related tools, machines, clothing, books, lumber, or general interest items. Use your discretion. If you think we would be interested, post it. Please include a link, if online, a description, and the price. The discount amount in % or $$ is appreciated but not required.

Examples:
  • eBay Buy It Now (BIN)
  • Amazon sales, Deal of the Day (DOTD)
  • Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD)
  • Sales, Coupons, Coupon Codes
  • Lowes/HD closeouts
  • Craigslist finds
  • Black Friday

NOT hot deals:
20% off HF coupon, because they are available all the time.
Cheaply made tools.
eBay auctions, because we don't know the final price until the auction ends.
Your favorite or most useful tool.
Amazon "Just Launched" sellers with very low prices (scammer)
Amazon sellers that ask you to email first (scammer)

  • What is an Amazon Warehouse Deal? It is an item with damaged packaging or the item itself may be damaged. It could have been dropped off a truck, punched with a fork truck, opened for a photograph, or a customer return. They are sold as used and the manufacturer warranty may be void. Most of the AWD I've bought were only damaged packaging but you are taking a risk. Note: just because they are sold as "used" does not mean they are actually used. Some customers scam Amazon by returning junk instead of the real product and Amazon may ship that wrong item to you.

  • Amazon '2 Left' Deals Occasionally there will be a super low price on a new item that says "Only 2 left in stock". Buy one and the last one jumps back to full price or you can buy both at the reduced price. For example you might see a $50 widget for $8, 2 Left. If you buy one, the last one jumps back to $50, or you can buy both for $8 each ($16 total).

  • Once in a great while there will be "1 left" and Amazon decides they want it gone and it will drop in price until someone buys it.

Nice…............. walls painted like new, all clean and spiffy…

Just in case someone falls into here, and hadn't seen there. Reposting the deal for 30% off dust collection at Peachtree. It ends 2-26 so hurry if you need anything for the shop in regards to Dust Collection.
Hmmmmm, still doing the double tap thing…
Rockler sales flyer today a discount on their Bench Dog hand planes. On several they are throwing in a low angle block plane.

I do not have one, went looking for non advertising reviews of them, and it led me to LJ's

If they are worth a darn, this may be a deal for those looking for the low angle plane of their dreams.

Peachtree Woodworking with up to 50% off selected drilling items/sets

Code is DRILL12

$30.00 = free Shipping

No expressed end date, they have order fast, if able to reorder they will, but once they can't it's done, at least for that item. So in a sense "limited quantities"

I believe on the heels of their recent dust collection deals, this is their answer to not being at "Thee Woodworking Shows" this year.

Mine is this weekend in Columbus, and I have no plan to attend. 14 bux to get in, on top of 10 bux to park, no thanks.
Peachtree Safety item sale up to 50% off, and free Shipping over 35 bux.

Again no real end date, just says limited qualities, may be for a while if they can get more yada yada.

enter key code SHOP17
"Peachtree drill press clamps, buy the 12" get the 9 free, free S&H too.

Their normal act fast, supplies limited, will restock if able, if not all gone.

In the past the owner of Hartville was very active on that forum, he hasn't been for several years. I had thought they didn't offer it anymore?

Mentioning that other forum if you buy anything from Holbren precision cutting tools will get you a 15% discount though.

Grizzly is offering 2 new fixed bed 15 inch 3 HP planers to their line

Until July 31st 2019 if you preorder either one you get free shipping.=

Shipping on the other 15" Planers is $169.00 Don't know if they would buy into a 10% off coupon too, if so that could be viewed as a deal, even if it is on a new product.

LOL
It is just me, or do those new Taiwan made Planers look exactly like the new planers Jet introduced recently? Some things never change in stationary tool industry, well except the color of machine….. ;-)

For the most part that is about all that is different, the paint color. I think baby poop yellar is really expensive stuff…... :)
Pricewise that is a good deal, I've noticed Home Depot kicking Amazoos behind a lot on most everything cordless, the 2 both carry.

My wonder, unless you are working trades work, and have no access to electrical, is why a person needs more than 2 batteries. With one on charge, and using the other it's a non stop supply of neutrons available. In constant use they go way past the 40 minutes or so it takes to charge them. Maybe if you had the weaker 1Amp/hour batteries. I have the RedLithium 2 Amp/hour I picked these up, 2 for 99 at Home Cheapo on a Christmas time deal a few years ago, after my included weaklings didn't want to play anymore.

My best thought is there must be battery hoarders…..
I must have an odd shaped face, i picked a rz up and found i did not care for it, it doesn t fit my nasal area well, lol, its maybe big or odd shaped, so my wife took it on, seems to fit her well.
i guess i ll stick with the med masks ugh

I also got one, just for light use, and the nose mangler they have set into it, just doesn't work on my nose either. Now I use it for mowing the grass, it seems to keep me from getting stuffed up from allergies after mowing. As a dust mask it didn't pass the racoon test. Wear a mask into a very dusty place. Leave, and take the mask off, look into a mirror, and if you have an outline of dust on your face under where the mask was, or if you blow your nose, and the stuff you want out, comes out of your nose, it failed.

I think most people would be better served using a 3M 8661PC1 Check the pictures on the left side. Note the size of the metal nose clamp. Plenty big enough, to fit any nose, small or large.

The most important factoid with using any of these type face mask "respirators" (If it has 2 straps, instead of 1, it's a "respirator") is that if the mask is wetted, and if you wear it continually it will be, usually within 30 minutes, you need to swap to a dry mask, or a dry inner filter. Once wetted they allow pass through of the stuff you are trying to keep out.

For longer term tasks, and or for total protection a true respirator with filters, or cartridges matching the work being done are needed. If you have any known issues, COPD, Asthma, or just poor respiratory health, it is advisable to just use a full respirator. I say full meaning full face, because the same stuff we want out of our lungs, will get into our eyes. Full face respirators will protect both. The 3M 6800's are very good, because of the many filters, and cartridges available for them, and the fact they are almost bomb proof, are idiot proof, and they wear pretty well.
