This is my first post here at LJs, I have been a long time leech of information and stalker and I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I have been for the information contained here. First of all, thank you to all who contribute.

I am currently designing a new computer cabinet/desk and I have a question about the best way to hinge (which hinges to use on) the doors. I am not planning on putting a face frame on everything, and I have small clearance drawers right behind the doors, so I don't think I will be able to get a regular european hinge in there.

My only thought was to use large decorative strap hinges on the outside, but I really really don't like the look of them and would greatly prefer concealed hinges if it is doable without having to change my drawers around too much.

I'm coming to ask for advise from the pros on what options I might have or if I need change my design.

Hopefully I can correctly add these images to help show what I'm talking about.

Something like this would be my choice.

I found several iterations of that here under "entertainment center hinges."

Thank you Lee, something like that is exactly what I was looking for! I even ended up finding these from the same supplier I was going to buy all of my hardware through for this project and my kitchen.

I will definitely try and document the whole thing and put it up in a blog, but sometimes I forget to do any documenting because my time in the shop is already so limited haha. I'm starting with a bunch of reclaimed cedar siding for this project, so we will see how things turn out.
