Hello everyone
This is Paolo, from northern Italy.
I spent a lot of time as an amateur woodworker, mainly doing CNC boxes and lightweight furniture.
In the past few years I focused on wood chatoyance, and I am here to share some results with the community.

Ciao!
I was fortunate to spend time in Italy, mainly around Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. That's a wonderful part of the world.

Welcome to lumberjocks!
Welcome aboard, Paolo - we're looking forward to seeing some of your projects.
Welcome to LJs. You will find a lot going on here and well worth the time. Mike
Welcome Paolo,

Thanks everyone!

Here's a cocobolo box I (that is, my cnc mill) carved a few years ago.

As for chatoyance, what got me started on the subject was an Etimoe coffee table I made a few years ago, which literally changes color under some lighting conditions. Unfortunately I have no pictures for that.

I will post a thread with our results on wood chatoyance measurement.

Paolo
