Hi everyone,
I am going to attempt my first mantel/fireplace surround soon and want to have solid columns up the sides. I want to attach these with blind French cleats. I am stumped as to how to cut out the notches while keeping the angle consistent. I have thought about drilling and chiseling, but I don't know if my skills are good enough to maintain the 45. Any thoughts?
