On the following, when just tying to look at the subject, I get:

I think that Ruby on Rails is an application used by website developers. Must have been some sort of temporary glitch on LJ's web server. A lot of servers have maintenance done overnight, especially on Sundays so perhaps you just happened to hit it while they were doing something like restarting something?
I have had the ruby on rails problem over the last several days intermittently. It is happening on my Kindle Fire using the Silk Browser. Just had it again this morning.
Well I think that they did recently implement SSL on the site so perhaps it is related to those changes. I haven't seen it myself.
I cleared my CACHE twice yesterday and twice this morning.
the 4th try with a reboot finally worked.
the only issue with clearing your total cache is that if you don't click
the passwords button to "no" you have to reset all the passwords back to
where you want them. as well as most other data.
a pain - but it cleans up your computer.
