Im going to be building a table top out of some reclaimed luber. The table top is going to be 6' long. Now i had to cut the boards down due to some oold nails that i just couldnt get out. What is the best way to join the boards end to end? I was thinking biscuits but im afriad they wont be strong enough. Any suggestions out there?

Making the cuts for a scarf joint is pretty hard - especially on a TS and especially on wide boards. I think a big lap joint is a much better option.
