As the title states, whats the best dust collector? How do I know how much HP and CFM I need for my tools? Thanks
I agree with Fred. Read the Pentz article and go from there.Following on what Loren said: it depends on what you expect. To catch the large chips and avoid sweeping the floor the smaller models will do you quite well. But if you want to catch every spec of the finest dust you possibly can, you ll need to move up to a much more capable machine. Personally, I would suggest you start at the 2 HP (true 2 HP) models, and make sure it has a 12" impeller and at least 1 micron filtration. Go up as your conscience and wallet allow. You might check the Bill Pentz site for some info, start with the FAQ section; then decide what you are after and buy accordingly.
