Hartville Tool www.hartvilletool.com is having a pretty good deal on Kreg K3 right now. Essentially you buy the K3 and they include an extra K3 Drill Guide Block. AND there is more, you get a Kreg T-Shirt for the next trip to buy screws.

I have found that Kreg is one of those brands that control the prices so that a discount or mark down is rare.

Ordered mine today. Have the Kreg Junior, but if you are doing any amount work it can be tedious to keep moving, clamping and drilling.

I had the mico in and out of my shopping cart couple times. Finally just went with the K3. My interest was in doing drawer boxes.

I emailed Kreg and got this response;
"With the Micro Pocket Drill Guide you will want to use any of our pan head screws. It can be used with less than ½" but not much less. It is designed to be used with ½" plywood which is a little bit thinner than ½". The advantage over the ½" setting on the K3 is that the drill bit tip is shorter allowing you to drill a little bit deeper hiding more of the head of the screw than with the normal KJD bit."

My drawer sides are solid wood and full 1/2", so it didn't seem the biggest advantage. If you look on the Kreg site they show where the drill diameter is smaller which is why you need to use the smaller head screws.

Since it wasn't on sale and available locally for same price, I am going to wait until someone else does a review.
