Keep up the good work. I would really like to see what you come up with. I've been trying to figure out how to do something similar since I retired 21 years ago. That's a pretty complex shape. It's even hard to scroll saw.Master Pilot Wings Shadowbox

CMSgt Stripe Shadowbox
Here's my first attempt at video recording my work. I'll add more videos and images as the project progresses. This is another customer request. It will be made of Solid Oak for the Star and Stripes and the dark lines will be Mahogany. The center will be stretched to creat an are for the flag to fit in and other metals. Thanks for looking!

Can anyone help me get this message to AAWW2005 - Hey Jim can you make a shadow box with SMsgt stripes like the one you did for the CMSgt one in the ABU colors and how much would it cost to make it and have it shipped for a retirement in February 2016. I'm so glad you are back to creating projects. I think for this one the globe could be the shadowbox with the continent lightly etched/sandblasted onto the glass. The eagle and anchor could be routed or intarsia (your the best at intarsia).Marine Anchor Globe Shadowbox

I would cut everything on my CNC machine so it has a 3D relief to it then use the globe as a spot for all ribbons and such.Marine Anchor Globe Shadowbox

How about a star shaped shadow box with the flag in between the lower points. CNC the 2 wings (birds) Light etching of the circle on the star shaped plexi-glass (won't be able to use real glass because of the weak inside corner on the bottom).
