Connecting different diameter dust ports

I normally have a dust deputy hooked up to my ROS which takes a 1 1/4" O.D. hose. I wanted to use this hose to hook up to my biscuit joiner which uses a 1 1/2" O.D. connector. The solution was two pieces of 3/4" plywood with a hole drilled in each piece to match the different diameters. Then I glued and screwed the two pieces together. A simple, quick solution that works.

Thanks, Bill

Thanks for the awesome idea. After putting my shop back together and building custom dust collection duct work, I have been scratching my head how I was going to adapt to several different size ports on my bench top tools. Your idea will work perfect
For those who are not as crafty as you are, Woodcraft sells a crush proof hose that fits my Dewalt biscuit jointer, ROS etc.
It is more pliable and easier to work with than a standard shop vac hose. The Woodcraft hose also fits Ridgid shop vacs.
Great idea - I'd not thought about doing that with my tools. I may be able to incorporate it in the future. Thanks!!
