Looks great, and unusual with the aluminum strips. The black paint worked very well too. You are not the only one to have black wood with aluminum strips. Great minds think alike? When we put in a new fireplace oven recently I had to add a few rows of bricks to the top of the fire wall for it to be legal. My bricklaying was a little off so the ends were a little uneven. Since we wanted the black shelf at the end, I needed a straight surface for it to butt against. My solution was to use an aluminum 90 degree profile. We don't have pink walls! it's the camera. They are peach, just do everyone knows!Chess Boards
