Carving scholarships available for young folk

I have created scholarships for high school & college age students to take a 5 day classical carving class at the Maine Coast Workshop (June 19-23, 2023) with Alexander Grabovetskiy, considered the finest carver in the world. This year we offer 2 half-tuition scholarships. It is very easy to apply here: Scholarship Program | Maine Coast Workshop

My goal is to expose young folk to a full immersion experience in order to pass on the joy of craftsmanship and hopefully continue the legacy of fine woodwork amongst a technical generation where these skills are being lost.
I have had 15 year old scholarship recipients over the past 2 years who have discovered these joys and who have stayed with the discipline and developed into accomplished carvers. My hope is to continue to pass on these skills and to make the opportunity as available and affordable as possible.

Here's more info on Grabovetskiy's June 19-23, 2023 carving class: Alexander Grabovetskiy | Maine Coast Workshop

If I can find sponsors, I want to expand these opportunities to veterans as well.

Thank you for passing the word along. If you know any young folk who might be interested, please have them contact me ASAP.
