Has anyone noticed the difference
In pleat count or square footage on replacement cartridge filters? I have an Oneida 2hp collector that I've constantly searched for replacement filters for but there doesn't seem to be an identical match. Www.damnfilters.com and Wynn have replacements and they seem to be complimentary. Anyone else have a better source?

Comparing filters is confusing. Ultimately, if the replacement fits your existing filter housing it should have reasonable similar performance to the one being replaced. You can get lost trying to figure out flow rates, dust removal efficiencies, particle size, pressure drop, material, and so on. Wynn is a very reputable supplier, as is Oneida. Not cheap, but well respected, good quality. Both places have good customer service as well so call them if you have questions.

Here's a suggestion: get this one. What I found with my older 2 HP Oneida (a 2006 model) was that this was plug and play, had more media, tighter filtration than the OEM, USA made, more robust than the OEM in construction, and cost a lot less. I posted a review on the PSI site about it. I sold that DC and the filter with it, but here's a pic with it installed. You'll notice the Clark filter is a little wider and not quite as long…so the foam filter is a little loose in the top, and the bottom canister is a little small. Bit it still sealed well and worked well. Can't recommend it enough. Do bear in mind, Oneida had changed the design slightly onlater models of that DC, and I'm not sure whether that would change the fit assumptions.
