New Shop Under Construction

I started the permitting process for my woodshop in August 2007. Finally, in early January I got my permit from the city of Draper. I started construction shortly after I got the permit, the constant snow in the valley has made it a little slower than I was hoping for. Design summary includes, 1012sqft on the 1st floor with a finish room, mechanical room and small bath (enter from outside or inside, can be a changing room for pool later). The 2nd floor is 625sqft with a full bath and two rooms. Some of the things I am doing - Mechanical room with sound proofing for cyclone, air compressor and tankless water heater. Natural gas line with ample supply for heat and future pool in the backyard. upgrading house from 200 amp service to 350 amp service, 150 amps will serve shop. 11'6" 1st floor height. Hanging pendant outlets in stragegic locations to limit number of cords on floor. Iron piped compressed air in drywall ceiling for distribution. Tons of lights. Two dayton industrial exhaust fans.

It's still in the framing process, but I'll try to get pictures up soon.

Brian, I too am looking forward to seeing the pictures. It sounds like you have planned everything well. The only exception I can envision is you didn't mention a kitchen. If it had one then you would never have to leave.

Thanks for sharing.

Where're the pics? It's cruel to tease us with this incredible description without drawings/pics! Sounds like an absolutely incredible space…why would you ever have to go anywhere else?

Sounds like it is going to be awesome. I look forward to seeing the pictures.
Looks like you are getting there.
That last photo must have been taken in India. That's about as 90 degrees as you can get from here.
Wow, that is going to be a nice shop space. My envy meter just pegged out.
This is really coming along. I can't wait to see pictures when construction is finished.

I just went over to your site and looked at the pictures. Watching the progress is pretty exciting.

It looks like you have mountains in the background where is Draper?

Never mind, I just went to your home page and saw Utah.

I love Utah. I have been there a couple of times rock climbing and mountain biking. Where else but Moab and Arches?
