Can you wait a couple weeks? I am nearby, but on vacation. Near Joliet. Home in two weeks.
That actually is an upgraded tension setup - it originally shipped with just a tension knob at back, which had to be tightened/loosened by hand each time. Good news is that all the parts needed are available through Advanced Machinery (Hegner importer). It will cost a couple hundred to get it in shape, but IMO is well worth the effort. This is the older model with the tension lever at the back. I believe the motor and speed control are good.
Parts are probably available.
