  1. Bow Saw

Today, I needed a Bow Saw and could only find some that have a flimsy design, but I did find replacement blades and decided to make one. It only took around 1 hour using some left over Pine and it is much stronger than what I expected. Very pleased with it :)
  2. Simple Box`

Here is a very simple box constructed of "paduk and cherry", it is for our neighbor as a birthday gift. Forgive the lighting as my camera is not the best. My theme for the box is called the "Praying Hands Box".
  3. Round Kitchen Table

First attempt at a round tabletop & pedestal base. Glued and screwed the top with pocket holes. Cut out with a router attached to a circle cutting jig. I'd really like to try a round column for the pedestal once I get a lathe. This all built with pine from Home Depot. Tools used...
  4. Simple Weathered Grey Side Table

So I am making a wine barrel table that required a large donut shape. The inner circle that was left over was about 21" in diameter, so I bought some hairpin legs and stained in weathered grey. People seem to love this stain, and this project was just some scrap I had, and the hairpin legs I...
  5. Friction Fit Wooden Jewellery Box

In this video I will be making this beautiful Jewellery Box, designed for some Cuff Links. This is a simple build and can be made very easily with limited tools! It contains Mitre joints and a cushioned bottom to protect the Jewellery. Please see the full video build on my YouTube channel to see...
  6. Blade Box Redux

Ten years ago, I was fretting over the state of my tablesaw blade storage, er, uh, there was none! I had them in a flat file drawer with sheets of cardboard to separate them. As I would swap one for a sharp one or one of a different use, I'd have to do a blade shuffle and be careful not to...
  7. Walnut and Oak Jewellery Box

Nice and simple construction jewllery box. One of my first ever hardwood projects. Recess has been machined out to fit a custom sized 4mm mirror.
  8. Simple Backyard TV Stand

A quick project for a friend: a TV stand/table for his backyard patio, made to his specs. Used only a table saw, mitre and impact driver. Also a brad nailer for some minor trim work on the bottom shelf. And a router to soften up the corners of the legs.
  9. DIY Simple Tennessee shaped pallet sign

I made a simple pallet sign in the shape of my home state, Tennessee. Using Jigsaw, Tablesaw, Titebond II glue, some old pallet boards and clamps. I downloaded a picture from the Internet, imported it into Inkscape and printed out a pattern. Glued pattern to pallet boards and cutout with a...
  10. Homemade Drill Press from a Handheld Drill!

THIS PROJECT ALSO CONTAINS METAL. If I'm not supposed to post it here (a forum topic/blog?), please let me know, and I'll move it! I've come to the point where can't build more advanced woodworking projects, due to the lack of a drill press, and they're too expensive. After many hours of...
  11. poor boy router table

After seeing the prices they want for router tables I decided my woodworking wasn't fancy enough for those retail models so I made this out of stuff I already had. I had everything I needed and was able to use some worm damaged ash and leftover pieces from other projects. I didn't even bother...
  12. Simple outdoor table

I was given some outdoor chairs but just didn't have the cash to go and find a table to go with. So, as any other woodworker out there would do…you go through your scrap lumber. I had just enough treated 2×4's to come up with this simple table and played a bit with the construction to add some...
  13. Plywood Storage Box

In this video I will be making this wooden box. It's made from plywood and is made mainly with shoulder joints. This is a very quick and easy built. This project is useful if you need storage for any items! Please see the full YouTube Video if you want to see all the steps I did to make it! Hope...
  14. Natural oak simple students desk

You know how they always say " a plumbers pipes leak" "the electrician has no lights " and the "painters house needs paint"? Well the same goes for the furniture maker. I have built over one hundred and forty pieces of furniture and that is just for my personal home "This Old Crack House". I...
  15. Toy Helicopter

A simple toy Helicopter made from Poplar :)
  16. First Box in the New Shop

This is my first box project in the new shop. It is made from maple with simple miter joints and walnut splines. The top is beveled padauk. I was pleased to see that I could cut nearly perfect miters on the Proxxon table saw. It had no problem cutting crisp lines on 1/2" stock. Now that the...
  17. Early learning toy influenced by Montessori

A simple toy for toddlers to recognize shapes and numbers. It's made from 12mm plywood and 10mm dowel. Made using basic hand tools :) Numbers are burned on with a pyrography machine. There are details on how to make this on my Instructables page here...
  18. Reclaimed Cedar Lifeguard Chairs

I found this lumber on craigslist. The house was built with cedar fascia boards and when they rebuilt the house the owner didn't want to toss the wood. Thank God.. Some of the wood has tunnels from carpenter bees which looks awesome. I epoxied the feet and water sealed the chairs. Believe...
  19. Built in Shelf

This is a bookcase that I build from 1×12 pine. I just used 4 pocket holes on each side of the shelves to assemble it. It is placed in a void in the wall above the stairs and goes from almost floor to ceiling. I screwed it to the studs on each side, the top and the bottom. I used some trim I had...
  20. Oak Wine Boxes

These boxes are made of red oak for the sides and black walnut for the bottom. The finish is Watco Danish Oil - Natural. This looks perfect on a simple box and is super easy to apply. These were donated to a charity fundraiser auction as part of a wine package that my wife wanted to put...
