The nightstands are made from the salvaged top and pull-outs from an otherwise destroyed old teacher's desk. The legs are from old treadle sewing machines. Tops were stained and then painted with willow leaves and four phases of the moon.

I have a client who loves the classic fir grain from old lumber.
He said "the more nail holes , the better".
I also made two small cutouts with doors for their cell phone chargers and grain matched the doors.
I used plywood to build the base and put a drawer in each side.
As I posted mid-September, I found myself in the middle of Hurricane Ike. While my housing complex remained standing, Ike did take out the local fenceline, and I heroically salvaged about 200 bd. ft. of cedar planking. In the dead of night.
