  1. what can $8 worth of solid lumber get you...

Furniture with the markings of a past life… I got this lumber from a recycle lumber yard. They pulled it from an old bank building in Sacramento, built around the 1930's. I found one really weather beaten plank which I think might have been from the building's facade. I chose this plank to be...
  2. Salvaged Maple "Tao" Coffee Table

This Table is made from 100 year old salvaged maple, walnut, and wenge wedges. The maple came from a barn deconstruction near my shop. It was a really neat project, and there were some difficulties along the way for sure, but I grew as a woodworker, and thats why we do this stuff right? I made a...
  3. Club House for my boys 7$ and 12 Hours

This was by Far the best 2 days spent building with my sons this past summer. Sourced the pallets from a local Freight company so this simplified getting all the same size pallets which in turn made the framing very painless. Only spent 7$ cash on the build. Shingles were a bonus from a neighbor...

  6. Hurricane Ike Reconstruction...

As I posted mid-September, I found myself in the middle of Hurricane Ike. While my housing complex remained standing, Ike did take out the local fenceline, and I heroically salvaged about 200 bd. ft. of cedar planking. In the dead of night. Just two of the current results. Not the best...
  7. Power Tools, Hardware and Accessories
I am trying to identify a vintage DeWalt Radial Arm saw. My son and I are thinking about restoring it, but don't know much about it and if parts are available. Maybe someone can help us with a vintage and model. See photos attached. Thanks, Dave Roekle Corona, CA.
