  1. Patience...

Once you learn patience, making projects with reclaimed lumber is fun. This is a solid oak six drawer dresser made from pallet wood and lots of love. Wrestling this material into submission is no easy task, but take it one step at a time and you won't have any trouble…..patience It is oak from...
  2. Chinese Checker Board

I made a Chinese Checker Board that can hang on the wall while storing marbles in the board. It's made of Maple and Redheart. Check out the YouTube video if you want to see how I did it… I also provided a drill template for anyone that wants to make one themselves...
  3. Ayous picture frame

This picture frame was made of ayous, because it is dense but still very light wood, what makes it perfect for frames. Finished with black spray colour. Dimensions 34×34x5cm and 30×40x5cm. Hawgnutz- Reading along, I guess the distilled wisdom I am seeing here can be summarized as follows: Oil and water don't mix. If you use oil of any sort spread rags out to dry before discarding-MAJOR spontaneous combustion hazard BLO, BLO/MS, Watco etc. make an easy but not tremendously...
  9. Finishing
I know some finishes dry hard and bond well enough to previous coats (like shellac) that it's easy to sand and polish them to a high gloss. Except for pianos, I can't find many examples of people doing it with paint, though. I assume lacquer would work fine. Latex…probably not. I tried a...
