  1. Walnut Slab Coffee Table

Picked up a walnut slab from someone selling them on the side of the road in VA and turned it into a coffee table. There is a lot of figure throughout. An outline of the state of NJ is engraved into the top. The legs are hairpin. They are a little wobbly but you get what you pay for.
  2. 50" diameter double trunk butterflied end grain white oak tree table

*finished pictures yet to taken and posted This is a 50" diameter end grain white oak slab, of two conjoined trees. It's around 120 years old, and came off a property in Chester, NJ. The client was heavily landscaping their back yard and my buisness partner came in to do the initial logging...
  3. Taking down a 5+' diameter Red Oak at Thomas Edison's home estate

This was over a year ago. We were called in by a tree service to salvage this monster! It had some major rot, and metal issues unfortunatley, but we still have some excellent pieces including the burl as seen in the picture. At the time of cutting it the burl weighed in at around 180 pounds or...
  4. Dropping a Massive 5+' diameter Wormy Maple

A local neighbor wanted this tree taken down about a year ago, here's the pictures of taking it down, trying to pull it with the grapple log skidder (was too heavy making the skidder start to wheely!), then splitting it in half with a 5' bar on a stihl 880 to lighten it up! This log is currently...
  5. State Cork Boards

Ever have someone ask "Hey can you make me two cork boards? One of New Jersey and one of the mitten of Michigan." Well I did. Found some suitable images, traced them onto the cork board, then sawed away with a 1/4" bandsaw blade. It was interesting and pretty challenging to try and follow...

Awesome EZ Smart track saw system for sale in Northern NJ, 25 minutes from NYC, at a price point much lower than Festool's MFT/track saw combo, and capable of doing much more. For me, it's really been able to cover almost everything you'd want from a tablesaw and a tracksaw. However, with kids...

  8. Wood & Lumber
Local legend here in South Jersey finally falls. This tree was enormous and beautiful thought to be between 500-600 years old. I remember going on a field trip to see it in elementary school and the whole class joining hands to get an idea of the circumference. Lots of white oak in that tree. I...
