This was a slab of raw edge oregon malpe that I picked up on a wood hunting trip around Portland. I put in a wenge bowtie to fix crack, also mixed up some sawdust and epoxy to fill a few bad spots. The base is made of 8/4 ash with gloss black lacquer, the top has 4 coats of gloss poly. Thanks, Bob
I got this plan from a book by John G. Shea. It is supposed to be courtesy of Longfellow's Wayside Inn. The stem legs use the classic dovetail approach. Sorry for the orientation on the picture of the table before refinishing.
