  1. 24" V-Drum Sander

I just completed my 24" V-Drum sander with the help of a 24" kit from Stockroom Supply. The kit contained the drum, pulleys, link belt, pillow blocks and mounting brackets as well as plans for the box and top. The box was easy to build and went together fast. I took a little more time on the top...
  2. My first project - Bed Headboard and footboard

Well, this was my first project. I guess I didn't buy into the start small theory. The Headboard and Footboard of this queen size bed were made from red oak, stained, then several coats of poly to finish. I didn't know really anything about woodworking going into this project, just what I had...
  3. POWER LIFT FOR COMPUTER STAND

Here it is, the power computer lift for my original stand finished. It works great. In the one photo you can see the little box with the control switch. It is powered by a 9v. power supply. The drive is a small surplus DC gear head motor. I never liked moving the lid on the hinge that much so...
  4. Ebonized Oak Cutting Board with breadboard ends

First time making breadboards, and first time ebonizing oak! 100% hand tools. It's pretty terrifying to rub steel wool and apple cider vinegar all over your finished project, but i'm happy i took the chance. Love how dark the finish turned out. I made a video of the process if anyone is interested:
  5. Bookcase/TV stand

So we moved into a new home that has a bar in the basement complete with an entertainment area. Lots of boxes filled with books and nowhere to put the TV. So the solution was to create a TV stand in the corner with a bookcase on both sides. Simple construction, 3 - 4'X4' sheets of 3/4" plywood...

  10. My Big Ash knockdown Roubo Workbench

This workbench is my 60-th birthday present (Today September 14, 2015). I worked all through the summer to build it. Now that I know what I am doing I think I could build it in 3 or 4 weeks if I had no distractions, all the lumber, and the hardware. Front view End view Made some...

Hi all, when you're a beginning woodworker looking to buy a new machine, it can be tricky to make sense of all the different brands and figuring out whether they make machines that are right for you.
