  3. TWCA Cam Handle

I finally got a Nic Westerman TWCA cam. I have tried several times to purchase one in the past, but as soon as the next batch appears on his web site, they're gone faster than a politician's promise on election day. I ended up back-ordering one and since I now had it in my hand, it was time to...

Here are some shelves I built for my wife a while back. One of my creative but quick and dirty jobs. Still I think they came out nice.

  6. Purple Heart cutting board

I had a friend request a cutting board made from Purple Heart so I tried. This is one of a kind because PH is just too hard to sand. It is end grain and is edged in Walnut. It is 16×19 x 1-5/8 thick. Pictures do not do it justice.

Some simple chestnut clocks, aprox. dimensions 30×17cm, 17mm thick. Number marks were made by pyrography, finish wood oil. Clock mechanism is from hardware store.

  9. Guitar Footrest

This is my latest weekend project. I was borrowing a footstand from a friend for a few weeks, but then had do give it back to him. I was now left without a footstand, and had to make my own! I sketched up some quick plans and then started in on cutting the wood to all the right lengths and...
  10. Wall Cabinet

I finally finished the doors and updated the pictures. The cabinet is solid walnut. Overall dimensions approx 25"x37". Inside shelf is adjustable.
  11. Mission Style Chair

This was my first mission style piece of furniture I've built. The rays in the oak didn't pop as I would have liked, but overall, I was pleased with my first chair and learned a lot when I built the tables later. I cut the foam myself and had my mother (yes, my mother) sew the fabric. I thought...
  12. More Thorsen Pics

I was not overly fond of the original pictures of my table so I had DW snap a few more. Her eye tends to be a little finer than mine . . . so she keeps telling me. :-)
  13. Basket Weave Garden Box

This "basketweave" garden box was built for a friend who lives in an apartment and wanted a box deep enough to plant carrots in … happy with how it turned out. "Roughed up" solid pine with an exterior, water-based cedar tone stain; lined with heavy duty landscape fabric; plywood bottom

  15. Ambrosia Octagon

Put this together for an artist wanting a unique frame for one of her projects. The distinctive coloring in this maple frame is caused by beetles that make their way into the wood while it is growing. A fungus is responsible for the blue, gray and brown streaks and decorative patch work that...
  16. Birdhouse #.....uhhmm, i lost count!

This is one of the 16 that I made for Valentines day.1 of 2 that I painted.
  17. Raised Garden bed With "How-To"

I had a long description written up about the project and what I've been up to lately, but the internet gods decided to delete it all. So…..if you have any questions just ask. I'm turning this raised garden bed into a "wicking bed" - if you don't know what that is, google it. Picture "how-to"...

This set of hand planes with 3 extra blades is very versatile when honed with different bevels. Being sold as a set, I have had them too long without being able to use them. 2 bad rotator cuffs are severely limiting my time in the shop! Both are in excellent condition with very minimal use. I...
  19. Power Tools, Hardware and Accessories
I'll try and keep this short. I was going to treat myself to a new low angle block plane from LN and saw a brand new one on ebay. I was the low and only bidder for 6 days, figuring I would save a little even when done paying the shipping. In N.H. they sell for $165, with no sales tax. My...
