Not much goin on here but this cool lookin plum bias cut with some walnut butterfies. Flattening this was an experience somewhat like flattening a hunk of cast iron…..super hard stuff. I have 2 more similar pieces that i still have to prepare when time allows.

I got tired of moving this beech cookie cut around so i decided to finally do something with it. I had an excess of walnut short material so i used that for the base. Table was made as a spec piece and sold before i got any decent photos .

this walnut half round is 18 deep x 36 wide. curved apron is a bent lamination with 5 plys. front join is a bridle joint and all other joints are mortise and tenon. finished with a wiping varnish.
