  1. Hammered Dulcimer

    The soundboard is heart pine-formerly these boards were floorboards in the original kitchen of our ~100 year old house. Frame and bridges are hard maple, and the back is baltic birch plywood. The hammers are pear and walnut (or maybe that was dessert last night? No, definitely the hammers)...

  2. bubinga/sitka spruce/maple hammered dulcimer

    Made from plans. 66 strings. Bridges made from canary wood. Maple innards with 1/4" bubinga laminate (sides) and solid bubinga front & back. Sitka spruce top made from a 7/4 board 40" long & resawn. I will eventually make gothic rosettes for the soundholes. Video of its sound here:
