  1. Underwater World

Hello all, it's been awhile since I posted a project because of my broken hand and then playing catch up to get some projects done. This one took AWHILE to finish because it was 341 pieces and a lot of them where very small. I spent a lot of time down on my hands and knees looking for a piece...

  3. Fish Toy Wagon

This is a tribute to the lake I love to fish in. A crane flies overhead. The fish swim in a frenzied circle as the cart is pushed. A daredevil lure is snagged on the log and a turtle is coming up for air. This works with a simple friction wheel on the back axle that makes the turntable...
  4. Fish carvings

Here are two fish carvings which my husband carved and painted as gifts a few years ago. The largemouth bass is carved from bass and mounted on a piece of rustic oak (along with a tiny bass which he also carved and painted). The pumpkinseed is carved from bass also, but mounted in front of a...

Back in September the boss lady bought a fish tank and of course I said you need a stand for it which I can build. I finally finished it in April. Thank goodness she is a patient woman. The inlay and drawer pull is purple heart which she just loves. The fun part with this table is it is made...
  6. Stylized Maple Fish

This is a stylized fish cut from a single curly maple board measuring 48" x 6" x 1". I had this board left over from a job and after staring at it for a few months, I decided to see if I could make a puzzle piece-together shape. I found a similar shape to this on the internet and altered it...
  7. Koi Bowl

Another first for me. I am enjoying doing new projects. I have been scoping out this pattern for awhile. It is a bowl with the Koi swimming in the bottom. The lily pads are raised just an 1/8", everything else is flush. The bottom sits about 1" from the top of the bowl. The entire project...
  8. Fish Tank

After building the dinning table, I had some wood left over. I've always wanted a big fish tank, so I bought some glass, made some sawdust and built one. The glass is a 2.5' 3' octagon and 3' high. It holds ~180 gallons, and a lot of fish. One of these days I'll get around to building a top for it.

  15. Black Drum Mount

A few years back, my oldest sister took up taxidermy and natural gravitated to fish mounts as she loves painting. So, when I caught this 24" Black Drum I sent it right over and said if you can mount it I will make a base for it to go on. I wanted it to be swimming around pilings on a table top...
  16. Cruci-fish

I can't claim this to be my idea. I first saw this on lumberjocks but didn't get it saved to favorites. Thanks to who ever came up with the idea for this project. Maple and red oak, satin deft and wax. 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 7".
  17. Fishing game

My wife had this idea the other day to make a fishing set for the little neighbor girl. Our boys have one of those little wind up fishing games and she loves it. So some time ago I had seen a really cool fishing game on here, and I thought that a wooden block type game would be cool. The fish...
  18. Snook from glued up pine boards

This was my second carving project, it came out better than I expected but I should have spent more time with the sandpaper. I used a dremel multitool and a regular dremel.
  19. Fishing Expedition

My wife asked me to make a bowl that would hold Swedish fish for a wedding shower that she was attending (don't ask…). So I made a fish-shaped bowl. It didn't make the cut, and she went with bowl #2. The third, bark-edged bowl was from the same log. Bowls are all in the 5"-6" diameter x 4"...
