  4. recycled vintage yellow Heartpine / kitchen organzier shelve

Not a lot of to say about the project. It's simple construction using a recently new to me festool domino. The wood used however does have some interest. It's 1st generation old growth yellow Heartpine I bought last year on a whim. It's from a demolished carriage builder factory in...

  6. spalted maple bowl

was very careful with the spalting, spent as little time as possible around the spalting and sanding. Had all my air cleaning devices going full blast. I think it was worth it, and so far no ill affects. mike

  11. Mobile Clamp & Finish Accessories Cabinet

It's always fun to take someone's great idea and fit it to your needs. In this case we felt we could add to "Rockler's Pack Rack" and their "Rockler Pack Rack Top Cap". Problem: Not enough storage space for our needs on the Top Cap for Glue and other accessories. Besides the glue, adhesives...
  12. Workbench - Holtzapffel?

This workbench is a hodge-podge of several designs I've seen out there over the last few years. Once I put the twin screw face vice on it will most closely look like a Holtzapffel. It's 80 inches long, about 35 inches tall, 30 inches deep. I'm inherently cheap and hate making newbie mistakes...

  14. Custom XL Sliding Barn Door

Here's a massive sliding barn door I recently made for a customer. This thing weighs about 400-500 lbs. and is made of steel, birch plywood, and grey hemlock siding from our lot. It measures 64" wide and 105" tall and slides over into a recess the customer had built into the room. We sprayed the...
  15. Corner Shelf

Well here it is a week later than I planned. I got laid up and couldn't walk for a bit. Some of you may remember this blog http://lumberjocks.com/jocks/Buckskin/blog/1970 about the recycled honey do… I finally got it done. It has three coats of oil based gloss poly, hand sanded with 0000...
  16. Wenge wood grip extension for my HK P30SK! *New update- now holds 13 rounds same grip extension!*

UPDATE 02-17-2017 The grip doesn't look any different, but I was able to hollow it out to hold 3 more bullets. Because of this I strengthened the inside of the Wenge wood coating it in epoxy. I needed a grip extension for my HK, so why not wood! Made from my favorite, African Wenge Wood scraps...

  18. Kissing Stool

What do you do when your wife is 5'4" and you are 6'1"? Besides calling her Lilly and having her call you Herman? In order to help with the issue of her being vertically challenged, I built a kissing stool. This is made out of reclaimed wood from pallets, it is screwed and glued to support...
  19. Cross Christmas Gift

Gift for a co-worker. Maple with walnut inlay - this is an early attempt at inlay for me - turned out pretty decent. Mitres are the tightest I have ever made - thanks to my crosscut sled (how did I ever get along without it). Finsish is Danish Oil and wax. About 11 inches tall. Merry Christmas...
  20. Deep Water hollow form

Another Avocado hollow form. Dyes are black and Sapphire Blue. Finish is MANY! coats of wipe on poly. Avocado wood soaks it up. I think i did a bit better on some of the pictures this time around. I still need to figure out how to prevent the reflection from the lights. My camera isn't the...
