  1. Mallets

Made this pair of mallets from scrap. The big boy is Tasmanian Oak and the smaller one is Jarrah. The smaller one is a dead blow filled with lead shot. Both are an excellent weight and I'm quite happy with how they came out for a first try.
  2. Yet Another Joiner's Mallet

  6. Rosewood and Hickory Dead Blow Mallet

There are lots of mallet projects on LJ. Here is another. After my son borrowed my dead blow hammer for tent stakes at a camping trip one weekend, and not having another dead blow handy I was forced to spend my weekend digging out some plans and making one (wink-wink). Used the Wood Magazine...
  7. Dead Blow mallet

Hi Jocks, This is my first dead blow mallet i made inspired by a video of Steve Ramsey I saw on Youtube. Shank is made of beech and head is made with beech and exotic wood. I don't know the exotic wood specie 'cause I grab it on a garbage at my lumber supplier. He throw out the small parts...
