  1. Build-A-Bear Closet

This is a Build-A-Bear closet that I made for my Daughters 6th birthday. I made wooden hangers and the inside is finished with red velvet material that I glue gunned onto a foam backer board. It was fun to make, but definatley a one off.
  2. Master closet

So my wife loved the bedroom set I made and hated the track housing closets we had so I redisigned our closiet to be more presentable and efficient. The first picture show the view from the outside looking stright in. My half of the close is on the left and hers on the right with her slide out...
  3. Shoe rack or tree for walk-in closet

I made this shoe tree for my daughter for her walk-in closet this Christmas past. I searched LJ and Goggled, but didn't find much along the line I was looking for; so, I made my own design loosely based on the store bought plastic thingy that was falling apart. It is made of 1×3 oak and 5/8"...

  5. Closet Murphy Bed | Custom

This is a first for me. Putting a Murphy bed in a closet. Which is ironic because the original Murphy bed was designed and built for the closet. I completed this one in July 2010 for a condo on the 12th floor. The pictures are not all that great because the rest of the condo was still under...
  6. Custom closet organizers

New maple custom closet organizers for the kid's rooms have been on the list for quite a while. I finally buckled down and got them done this summer (also installed lights in the closets). My wife drew up the designs, something she is very good at in terms of best using the space available...

  8. Closet re-do

My wife and I despise wire shelving and so we've made it a goal to replace all of it in our house, starting with our room closet. It's made of 3/4 plywood and that might have not been the best choice. It assembles well, but is horrible to paint. Next closet will be done with a more paint-able...
  9. 3 Ash Tables

Oregon Ash , three different coffee tables . 6 feet long. 2 w/ wlanut legs. 2 w/oil finish ,1 w/shelac. wood from urban tree, wilsonville area.
  10. Closet...

It's nothing special, but maybe something to look at. All the wood (with the exception of the plywood tops) were slabbed from trees that I cut down that grow up on the mountain ridge behind my house.
  11. Oak night stand

I made this oak night stand to use beside my bed. The sides, back and bottom are made of plywood. Everything else is solid oak. I used poly for the finish.
  12. Closet Organizer

I made this closet organizer thingy out of birch ply and pine, birch ply drawer boxes and shelves, added some flutes on the uprights of the upper shelves, finished wit of with some MDF mouldings, theres 4 hanger rods installed now as well, just need to add some bi-folds
  13. New Pantry and New Tool

So Saturday night I hear my DW yelling something about come upstairs. Of course since I was in my shop it was a bit hard to understand. When I got there I found her in the pantry holding up the wire shelving racks which had decided to break loose from the wall. I quickly got all breakable items...
  14. Bedroom built-in armoires

This has been more than a 15-year project: the first 15 years were used trying to convince my husband to let me do it. It has taken the last 9 months for me to actually build it. I wanted to take a diversion and attempt to carve a shoe with Jordan's help, but my husband encouraged me...
  15. alder closet storage cabinet - Green and Green doors

This cabinet was made for our walk-in closet. It's made with melamine and has alder banding. The doors are made of alder and hickory. The doors were inspired by G&G's cloud lift design. It has 6 deep, full extension drawers and adjustable shelves. I should have taken a picture before it was...
  16. Master Bedroom Remodel

More pictures below… The first two pics are the before, and the rest are over the duration of the project. These pictures are about 3 years old, I found them on my old computer the other night. This was my first attempt at remodeling something on the house I bought about 4.5 years ago. About...
  17. A Teenager's 3-Dimensional Dream... Come True!

This is actually the second "Teenager's Dream" project I did; I'll get the other one posted eventually. Mom sketched up the initial concept for her daughter's room. The challenge was adding more closet space while the actual closet was being closed and stolen to expand mom's closet. The first...
  18. Built-in MDF closet for coats and shoes

Hi all, being a new member of this great community I want to start sharing my 5p worth of projects. As already said, until now they mainly involve MDF built-in closets in our house, so not exactly the usual kind of solid wood projects posted here. But I'm looking forward to start working on...
  19. The Master Closet

I started this closet back in January but my work schedule kept interfering with it's completion. It's made from birch veneer particle core and stained with Varathane brand Red Chestnut and 2 coats of Minwax satin poly. The whole thing is held together with dowels. The drawer boxes are made from...
  20. Dust Collector and Air Compressor Closet

The first dust collector I purchased was the Delta 50-775 (1 HP, 650 CFM). It's a great little machine that I still have / use today. However, once I commited myself to building out / equipping a full workshop, I was looking for a little more capacity in terms of horsepower and suction / CFM...
