  1. Clipboard

I always admired Crashmans clipboard when I went to his shop. I use a clip board every day and when I broke another plastic one, I decided to try my hand at making one. It is made from left over maple, cherry, maple and padauk. Finish is Minwax wipe on poly. Thanks for looking and thanks Jack.
  2. Coaching Clipboard

I am coaching middle school track again this year and at the end of last season my plastic clipboard broke. I saved the clip off of it and just before the season started I decided to grab a piece of scrap from my shop and use the CNC Router in my school classroom (shop) to design a new one...
  3. Maple and Walnut Clipboards

A friend of mine uses small memo notepads to track his to-do list. And when I saw Jerry's awesome clipboard , I was inspired and thought it would make a great gift. So I decided to give it a try. The clipboards are made of maple and walnut, laminated and then book matched on the bandsaw...

My daughter is going to college for speech therapy and will be taking lot of notes. She told me that she could use a nice clipboard and sent me a couple of pictures she saw on the internet. Since my catch phrase is "I can make that"… I set about to making her a clipboard for Christmas. I was...

Made this clipboard for the wife. She uses one when going to the grocery to hold her grocery list and coupons.
  7. Walnut and Oak Clipboard

During holiday break from my design engineering job, I decided to craft something I could take back to work with me. Something to let everyone know just how much I love wood. At work we have a stand-up meeting everyday. We have to mark down tasks for the day so I use this clipboard daily. I...
  8. High School Projects made by my Grandnephew!

One of my sister's Grandsons took Woodworking at his high school this year. He made some real nice things, & I couldn't let this chance go by, of showing off what he made to all of you fellow Lumberjocks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a regulation...
  9. Clipboard

My wife is a wonderfully organized person. Her clipboard is never very far away. After noticing her current model was falling apart I made this one for her. It comes from a broken down pallet. I think it's Oak but I'm not entirely sure. Minwax stain with Semi-gloss brush on Varathane. I...

  11. Laminated Veneer Clipboard for a friend

I recently was able to buy approximately 150-200 sq. feet of wood veneer for $100. Oi Vey right? There are various species including walnut, maple, cherry, teak, mahogany, zebrawood, and several that I'm not sure of. I made this for a very good friend of mine who taught me more about the car...
  12. Writing Board

I have a good friend that is about to head off to graduate school for creative writing and poetry. As we were talking about Christmas presents, he mentioned that he'd like to be able to have a nice clipboard to use for when he wants to sit on the couch and work on his poetry. I found an old...
  13. Patagonian Rosewood Clipboard

The grain in this wood came as quite a surprise. The board I resawed this from was VERY red and quite dark. When I cut into it this is what I found. The wood Is Patagonian Rosewood, the finish is four coats of wipe on polyurethane and the clip comes from Lee Valley.
  14. Barn Wood Clipboard

Wanted a new clipboard so I made several out of barn boards. Wanted something sexy too. Most clipboards are biscuit jointed together with inlays for strength and color. Not bad for sitting in a haymow for 80 years. Still working on several more designs. I don't want any two the same.
  15. Clipboard

Made with Walnut, Oak, Ash, Paduak, and Purple Heart.

Any good source for clipboard parts, Rockler has them., but $3.99 a piece seems pricey and reviews aren't great
  19. Blogs
WHERE'S ME CLIPBOARD! As I'm sure I've mentioned before I do a fairly mundane day job, stacking shelves. One of the main tools for this is a clipboard, to hold my picklist. It invariably goes missing. Either I leave it in a trolley somewhere or, worse still, somebody 'borrows' it without...
