  1. Cherry Nut Bowl

    This cherry bowl is made from my neighbor's cherry tree, which he was forced to cut down as a result of storm damage. The bowl measures 8 1/2" in diameter and 3" high. It is finished with lacquer and wax.

    I made this chessboard out of Walnut, Southern Birch, and Cherry. I used General Finishes Gel-Urethane to finish it with 2 coats of Bees Oil. I sanded it with 320 and 600 grit sand paper between coats to get a smooth finish.
