Not much goin on here but this cool lookin plum bias cut with some walnut butterfies. Flattening this was an experience somewhat like flattening a hunk of cast iron…..super hard stuff. I have 2 more similar pieces that i still have to prepare when time allows.
Been a while since I posted, but I wanted to show off a few of the latest round of LCDT's (Legless Cheese Death Tables). Old joke by now, but still worth mentioning. Nyuk nyuk.
So, I wanted to try something different with the overall shape and handle configuration. For the opposing sloped...
Wanted to post a few more Legless Cheese Death Tables (LCDT's) that came off the finish table this morning.
Nothing fancy or awe-inspiring. Just posting to show some of the various handle configurations. As you will notice, some of these boards have no handles which allows for dual cutting...
Well I am officially running out of ideas for kitchen theme Christmas presents. I think I have next year covered but from then on it's anyone's guess.
Thought I would combine a couple of ideas I liberated from submissions here (cutting board, cheese board and swirl handle)
Boards are walnut...
Hey, guys! I tried my hand at bent lamination and made a curved cutting board with 49 layers out of walnut, mahogany, and cherry. If you haven't tried bent lamination, it's really fun!
If you're interested you can see the whole process with a video over at my website...
I made these cutting boards as Christmas gifts for my Mom and Mother-in-law. My wife has been asking me to make her a smaller "cheese board" for a while now, so I got her to draw me up a full size template of what she had in mind, and I took it from there. I really liked her design, so I made a...
All three cutting boards are using some variation of Brown Oak, Bloodwood, Yellowheart, Purpleheart, and Walnut. They are pretty small and would most likely serve well as cheese boards or bar boards, the sizes are approximately 11×9 x 7/8.
I finished another 3 yesterday … in the morning… and then had the rest of the day off… it was Sunday after all..
3. This was originally just a straight line stripe board… and I cut it to the first gen…
2. Semi ovaloid shape… goes well with the design.

I made these cheese boards as xmas gifts. Looks like I might be getting better at finishing end grain cutting boards. I used a beeswax/mineral mix to finish these boards, I think this will be my preferred method going forward.
This is an off cut project, as these pieces were cut from the off cuts of the larger spiral Lazy Larry. Only 9 " in diameter
No waste in my workshop..last pic is the dry fit prior to glue up and finish,

I made this chees board set as a Christmas present for my daughter in-law.
I used my band saw to cut out the shape for the cheese knives that is stowed in a drawer below
This one is made from antique yellow pine.. actually very old recycled hoop pine, with plantation hoop pine [new] and purple heart accent double chevrons.
Third pic is part of the glue up prior to cutting the circle…

Well the Next Step in the Cheese Board Saga had to be a step.. logical once you think about it..
This board is made up of laminations of Camphor Laurel, Purple Heart and Tasmanian Blackwood.
I then used the Incra Mitre Express to cut three pieces from the centre of the board at 30 degrees and...
Here are some cutting boards that I made for Christmas gifts… after all what kind of woodworker hasn't given cutting boards out.
The end grain chaotic ones are made with walnut, maple, cherry, and teak.
The other end grain one is walnut, maple and Padauk.
One of the cheese boards are zebrawood...
Running low on boards for gifts. So I made a bunch at once instead of a couple at a time. Wood is maple, walnut, blood, purple heart, brazilian cherry, american cherry, poduc and maybe some others.
Saw a video on YouTube the other day and made me want a cheese board. This on is for my Mom though, I bought 4 extra kits to make myself one and some others to give away. The wood is obviously walnut. I had a board that I noticed this section of more figured wood it was about 2' or so into the...
Hey Buddy's, Like most of us I've been a busy dude. I have had a good three week run out in the Shop after work and the weekends. Last weekend drove down to Grizzly and came back with a GO514X2. After getting it dialed in (most of Sunday) what do you think was the first thing I did? Hmmm… I...
