  1. Boxelder and Spalted Maple Salt Cellar

This is a salt cellar made of boxelder and spalted maple. I have made several of these items and this one by far is my favorite. All of my salt cellars use a stainless steel screw to secure the lid and and smooth rounded bottom to insure that no salt grains get trapped in the corners. Enjoy!
  2. round end tables

These end tables are made of solid ash. they were built to match my entertainment center and end tables built earlier for my upstairs. Which are displayed on my projects page. I used ash well because not very many people use this straight grained wood so i had to give it its due credit for...

This is my first bandsaw project - what a fun tool to work with! Inspired by this Wood Whisperer podcast - though my cellar box has only one deep container. 6. Salt cellar

This is a four-compartment salt cellar as a gift for my mom and step-dad. They have a collection of salts, and what better way to present your options than a spread in the middle of the table? The lid is not hinged, so that it is accessible from any angle, and is fit loosely so that it is not...

The Trap door framing and mechanism I've remodeled the entire house. Always a work in progress but mostly done. Ripped out walls, replaced paneling with sheetrock/paint, replaced carpets with hardwood floors, I made new kitchen cabinets, all moldings… etc. I've blogged most of it as I went...
  8. Focus on the Workspace
Completing a move from one house to another. used to have a covered back porch I could use as a bench. Not any more. Place does have a cellar, basement would invoke too big of a picture. A $.05 tour of the Dungeon that will turn into a workshop, someday… after coming down the Grand...
  9. Woodworking Skill Share
Hi everyone, I was digging through the archives of Industrial Strength Woodworking online and stumbled across an article about spalting your own wood. I've always really liked the look of spalted wood for decorative projects, and was wondering if anyone had tried doing the process themselves...
