I had a pretty rough cedar slab laying around. After some epoxy and taking it from 2 inches to just under 1 inch it tunred into a pretty nice piece of wall art.

Figured camphor with blue alumilite and maple burl pull. The underside of the lid has been textured with the Robert Sorry texturing/spiralling tool. The finish is 12 coats of Starbond CA, wet sanded and buffed. This combo of figure and finish is amazing!

Just a simple pine glue up and used a bandsaw to cut out. This was my first attempt at the Shou sugi ban coloring technique. Burned the wood with a torch. Then spray painted and quickly wiped off. I then sanded the spots I wanted grain to show.
