  2. 32 Deuce Coupe - Toy Car - Hot Rod - Little Deuce Coupe

Number three in the Freaky Fords Blue Series. The more I look at this color combination the more I like it. I'm partial to blue any way. I think it works well with the flat black wheels. I really wanted to have white walls on these but I could not figure out how to do it and make them look good...
  3. It's Bigger On The Inside...

I'm a wee bit of a Doctor Who fan… If you haven't already figured that one out and I'm sure you can all relate to needing more shop space so I figured I'd turn the shop door into a Tardis. I haven't really figured out the interior dimensional changes as of yet but I think it has to do with the...

This is a boat bed that was completed in November 2011. It is part of my Children's line of furniture It is one of four that I'm building at the same time. This customer requested custom color on the base. The portholes were an add-on and not usually on my standard version. For more...
  6. Dyed Curly Maple & Cork Trivet

This is one of the Christmas gifts I made this year. It is for my wife's father and stepmother. We took a family cruise as a family reunion/vacation back in March. While on the cruise, I saved all the corks as I wanted to make something from them, but wasn't sure what that "something" would be...
  7. Two Snowmen and a Tree Turnings

This was yet more lathe practice. The two snowmen and the tree are turned out of maple (different stock, hence different colors). The hats are both made out of padauk, and the base is curly maple, with blue trans tint dye in shellac. Everything was finished with shellac. The tree is a solid...
  8. Bandsaw jewelry box with hidden drawer

Hey everyone! Another project the list of items I published earlier that I wanted to do. I call this bandsaw jewelry box "porpoise" Now this is a unique box because the one challenge I wanted to do was create a "secret hidden drawer". Take a close to see where it might be. It's behind the...
  9. Telecaster Electric Guitar from Grizzly Kit

My buddy thought it would be a good idea to challenge my woodworking skills by building an instrument (one I don't play but he does…). I am naive, so I agreed. I chose the use the Grizzly Telecaster kit. The body is made of ash. It has a maple neck. For less than $150, I was impressed with what...
  10. Segmented Maple and Ebony Cigar Pens

So I went down somewhat of a pen "rabbit hole" and delayed finishing my workbench after watching Gabe Castro make several amazing pens on YouTube. These are my first attempts at segmented blanks, but I am happy with the results even if they are cut freehand. The first is Ebony with "blue steel"...
  11. 2020 Knife Swap knives, sheath and box

For this year's knife swap, I drew Keebler1 as my recipient. Kevin drives truck, and is on the road, so I thought that a carving knife with a sheath might be a good item to send to him. The knife has a Mora 1/0 high carbon blade with a brass bolster and a two-piece dyed and stabilized spalted...
  12. Walnut Wall Art

This piece is approximately 13" x 12" x 1.5" with a black walnut frame (natural color). The heart of this piece is a 3D carved Voronoi pattern in a walnut strip. The background is a dyed blue veneer. The blue veneer creates a stunning contrast with the natural black walnut. Thanks for looking...
  13. Notre Dame Christmas decorations

Made these three trees for this christmas to be displayed in front of my house. Very simple and fun project and very happy with how they turned out. Only pain was finding just the right size drill bit so the lights fit tightly…. 21/64 was not in my standard kit. Lol

  18. Blue box

Just a simple pine glue up and used a bandsaw to cut out. This was my first attempt at the Shou sugi ban coloring technique. Burned the wood with a torch. Then spray painted and quickly wiped off. I then sanded the spots I wanted grain to show.
  19. Table for my sister

All wood from branches we've had to trim or trees we've had to take down at work. This is the second time I've tried sliding dovetails to put legs on like this. I've gotten better but definitely room for improvement. The pedestal is a piece of apple that was a bit wormy and split a lot while...
