  1. Pallet American Flag

I made this American flag for my Mother-In-Law. She loves Americana and has it displayed out in front of her house. The lighter wood is natural, oak I think with poly applied. The darker wood I burnt with a torch and then applied poly. I used brass nails and screws because that's what she likes.
  2. Pallet Wood Star

I made this star again from pallet wood for my Mother-In-Law. This was my first project with my new planer and it came out great. This also was my first project using Min-waxes tintable stain and I loved it. The color is exactly what she wanted and has it hanging in her living room.
  3. Primitive, Rustic Americana Tool Box/ Tote

Primitive Americana Tool Box/Tote. Length is approximately 26 inches, width is approximately 6 inches Height is about 12 inches. The wood is from an old fence. Paint is layered and distressed, with a final coat of dark stain to "grubby it up." Handle is a branch- bark off. This would make a...
  4. Brand New Americana

Having loose ammunition in a drawer and being a woodworker with too much time on my hands lately gave me the idea for this box. I wanted it to look like it sat on the counter of a 1930's sporting goods store for years. Maybe i got close. The hinges are two six penny finish nails, not sure about...

Got your attention? I noticed last night that the local Menards stores here in Lansing, MI has the IRWIN QUICK-GRIP XP600 Series One-Handed Bar Clamps/Spreaders on clearance. 12", 24" and 36". Possibly others. Turns out, the sale is at all stores. Amazon says the list price of the 12" is...
  8. Woodworking Skill Share
I have a question about using the box joint router jig that I recently bought (see below). It is a great little jig, and is easy to use. The only problem is that I always have to file down my cuts by hand afterwords. Otherwise, the fit is too tight. I have a project in mind that is going to...
