    For my clock project that I am blogging here, I bought a piece of 4/4×11" x 74" Tigerwood. I assumed that 4/4 was the equivalent of S4S, but I'm thinking I am wrong now. The fact that the wood is S4S probably helped to reinforce my incorrect assumption. So what does 4/4 or 8/4 mean? Thanks!
