Grew up in Wales, UK. Lived in Sydney, Australia for 15 years (where I met my partner Lisa) working in IT mainly. 3 years ago moved to in-laws dairy farm in New Zealand for a change of scenery.
On a trip to Oz last year picked up a magazine called Australian Woodsmith, and thought mm this interests me.
Since then have setup quite a large workshop with a decent table saw, thicknesser/moulder, massive drill press, triton router in a purpose built router table, made a decent workbench, some add-ons for either side of the table saw and a couple of wall workbenches.
I like to recycle timber and turned some Rimu floorboards into chopping boards. Working on renovating some neglected tables (only turned legs survive) .
Always interested in learning new things to do with woodwork as it's all new to me. Just a few more tools and I should be set.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
