I've been influenced by the furniture my dad made a long time ago. Many shoddy projects later, I've made some nice stuff. I've made 4 large trestle dining tables (2 sold and 1 for sale and 1 in use), a french workbench (sold), two Morris chairs, 3 foot stools for the chairs (1 as a gift for mom), 1 live edge walnut staked table, my pride and joy a Roubo dovetailed work bench, repairs experiments and modifications, and just finished an oak bed for my son.

I like revitalizing old tools and old machinery: Rockwell Unisaw, Rockwell 8" jointer, Rockwell 13" planer, Vintage Delta LD shaper, Rockwell 14" bandsaw, Rockwell wood lathe, and many tuned handplanes, chisels, etc. I subscribe to the arts and crafts practicality of using machines for dimensioning and then using hand tools to fine tune, fit, and get rid of machine marks on projects.

I like this all because it's a release and a hobby, and I have a sense of accomplishment of making our own stuff for the house and family. I want to start making my own parts of the house such as doors and windows and cabinet work in our 1913 prairie box house.

I'm a fiddle player and teach and play professionally in bands around the area. I have a CD coming out in a few months.

I look forward to meeting others and exchanging ideas and seeing what others are doing.
