Unfortunately my father, who you know as Stefang, passed away this morning. He had terminal kidney cancer and suffered from a lot of pain towards the end, so it was a release for him. He had his family by his side and his last words were, "I've got to go."

We know how much he appreciated Lumber Jocks and that he considered many of you as his friends. We wanted to let you know of his passing and thank you on his behalf. So this is his last goodbye, or as we say in Norwegian, farvel.

    Regards,
    His loving son.

Hi Mike. I have seen your work in the past and always take a second look. What seems to be so different is the fact that you add some artistic features to each one making it a little more personnel than the everyday project. Thanks for the learning process.

Hello Mr. Mike, I thank you for your kind words about the asian styled clock. I have looked through your gallery and it would be an understatement to say that you do AMAZING work. I hope that you do not mind that I have added you to my buddy list. I am still not quite sure how all of lumberjocks works yet because I am a very new member. It is nice to see work done and words written by people such as yourself Mr. Mike. I thank you for that. Sincerely, your newest buddy, byrdman61 Slc,Ut.

Hi, We have a little forest with pine trees next to us. It's a private arboreum owned by a farmer neighbor. It's not well maintained these days and it does steal the sun from us in the winter, but it does protect us very well from harsh East and South winds. It also provides us with a lot of privacy. The trees you saw through my window are Thujas in our own garden. We have quite a few of them as you can see:

Those bar clamps are pretty good and they were relatively inexpensive too. Strangely enough I can't remember now where I bought them! Not that it would help you. Let me know if I can provide any tips or info before you come to Norway. October is pretty cool, windy and grey, but not the worst month of the year.

    Hello Mike,

Great shop and layout. I was particularly interested in the bar clamps hanging on the wall, they seem quite unique.

I saw considerable tree-scaping outside your window. I love the woods and in particular Norway Spruce. Our house is in the middle of a Forrest of Norway spruce. Very peaceful.

Additionally, thanks for sharing your layout. My wife and I will visiting Norway in October of this year. Perhaps we can talk again.

Thanks Tony. It's kind of like working in a hallway. Every time I turn around something gets knocked off the table. There's room in there for everything except me! I'm not really complaining though, I can work comfortably out there year around.it is wonderful to have it, and I can make just about anything out there providing I have the energy to do it. I saw your shop too which is very nice, and you can also work outdoors. I almost never can because it rains here all the time during the summer. Plus I'm mostly doing house maintenance and gardening then anyway.

    Mike!
Your shop looks fantastic! Looks like you have everything you need to do whatever it is you feel like making! A Great selection of tools also. I love your power tool cart with the storage drawers, it's a nice design and it's on wheels! Just what I need!
Perfect! I must make a cart like that someday. I have limited space so I will use your idea to make one similar.
Thanks for sharing your workshop photos.
