Unfortunately my father, who you know as Stefang, passed away this morning. He had terminal kidney cancer and suffered from a lot of pain towards the end, so it was a release for him. He had his family by his side and his last words were, “I’ve got to go.”
We know how much he appreciated Lumber Jocks and that he considered many of you as his friends. We wanted to let you know of his passing and thank you on his behalf. So this is his last goodbye, or as we say in Norwegian, farvel.
Regards,
His loving son.

My Sincerest Condolences to you and yours.
He was a fine man and very talented woodworker (though he always liked to belittle his own abilities)
His gentle, good humor and ever-kind words of encouragement will be missed…

I will miss Mike. We had a few good conversations via messages. He was one of the first to reach out to me on Lumberjocks and encourage me to be more involved. I always enjoyed seeing his woodworking and his stories to go with each project.
