A friend of mine owns a local cabinet shop. He has a friend who he has done several jobs for in the past, and the friend of my friend is building a cabin for the purpose of renting out for a vacation get away had the idea to get these chairs and transform them into rockers. To see if it was even doable, we made a simple template and clamped it onto the legs to see how the chair would respond to rockers, and we liked it! I have never made rockers before, and was unsure of a lot of different things in the design aspect of this, but I like a challenge and so I said yes.
