I’m a newbie so I’ve not taken many shots of the project as I’ve gone along, but I’ll post where I’m at so far.

Basically, I got rid of one of those rear-view projection TVs and got a replacement wide-screen TV. The immediate issue was how to place it – the walls of the room are wood paneling so hanging it was not an option. I didn’t feel like a full blown entertainment center that would cover the entire wall would work either, so I decided upon more of a credenza styled entertainment center. The size is about 21”D X 31”H X 80” W. The width was chosen based upon the paneling (it would just fit within the insets.

Since I needed it’s usage immediately, I’ve had to install the unfinished piece and am working on the shelving and cabinet doors (which will be the outside bays). I’ve never done cabinet doors before, so it’ll be interesting to see how they turn out.

Here is the project so far:

To follow-up – here are the cabinet doors. I’ve just finished staining the front halves.
