The last ditch weapon if the 'Zombie Apocalypse' ever happens! Mostly just art pieces just because! The handles are left to right in first shot: Oak, Mahogany, Beech, and Mahogany. I must confess, I did not twist the steel, I came by it already twisted and the first thought was 'dagger'. Guess my mind is a little too 'twisted' at times. Steel is old, forged not cast. Files nicely but pretty stout. Blades are 3/4" diameter by 6" or 8" long. They are tapered on my metal lathe and a 1/2" x 3" long tang is buried inside the handle and epoxied in. It takes lots of grinding and sanding and file work to make these blades then the handles are turned from 1.5" blocks about 8" long. Handles are finished with multiple coats of Danish oil for a matte finish.
