Project Information
I know this is not truly a woodworking project but I thought this would be a good place to publicly thank my wife for making this stain glass for me. It was originally being made as a panel to replace the glass in the door to my office, or the hole as she calls it. She spent approximately a year and a half part time, she still has a real job, desigining and finishing the project. The design has approximately 500 pieces and she estimates it took over 150 actual hours to complete. She took great care to match as much of the grain, or flow, of the glass as possible as you can see in two of the photos.
The panel now sits in a stand and frame that I threw together from a bunch of left over walnut I had. The reason it's not in my office door is that I destroyed it trying to get the glass panel out. The bead of glue holding the glass panel in would not let go before the wood trim did.
Thaks,
Wally
