Hey Lew, this is my favourite wood. Best smelling too, but too strong for some people. Bird's Eye Burl.
It's fairly hard for Cedar. I had to use a bit of super glue in the big crack to make sure it stayed in place. I didn't fill the voids but it's hard to see since the bark in them is so dark. It won't hold water so it's decorative. 10.5" X 3". Food safe finish.
