Media cabinet made of wormy Persimmon and Mahogany. Quartersawn Mahogany top, door panels are aged copper veneer. Recessed Xenon puck lights with concealed switch.
Very well done. I've never seen wormy Persimmon before, it works great with the mahogany and copper, the colors in this piece are fantastic! It looks like there is more wormholes than wood, that must be a real challenge to work with.
If I could leave my day job and go pro, this is the kind of furniture I'd want to make: Contemporary designs, wood/metal fusion, exotic woods, etc. I bookmarked your homepage dude. Awesome stuff. Just beautiful.
Looks fantastic. You achieved just the right glow with the Xenon puck lights. I am looking for similar lights for a panel bed, where did you source the puck lights?
If I remember right I picked them up at local big box store… it has been several years ago now but I am sure you can find what you need just about anywhere. I liked these becuase they had a nice rocker switch for the on and off that could be inset by just drilling a hole and pressing the switch in.
