I was goofing off on the lathe today, and with nothing more to turn than a few small pieces of redwood I popped this thing out. I have a desire to make a full size hollow form sometime, so this was a bit of practice… I custom ground a tool just to hollow this bad boy out. I would say the thickness is around 1/32" or so… probably 3/32" on the bottom.
