Hi everybody just a little about my shop, it is 17'x24' with a full dust collection system and just about any tool you might need (there are still a bunch to get). I built this addition on my garage out of very large(9'tallx14'longx10'wide) machine crates. floor is from same!

Tool alert!!!!! I just acquired another saw! I traded my neighbor a couple of old kerosene heaters I bought at an auction (cheap) for an older 10" craftsman table saw. My current table saw is a ryobi BT3000 it is a different saw than most. It does not have the normal mitre guides in the table. It has a sliding mitre unit without any grooves so you cannot use normal sliding jigs like a tenoning jig. This basicly free saw will allow me to dedicate it to pretty much just using special jigs on it while the ryobi does all the regular table saw duties. I like my 10" ryobi because of its table size, it is capable of cutting a 1/16 off of the 96" length of a sheet of ply.
I can't wait to make some jigs for the new saw!

Great shop Bob. Good catch on the additional table saw. I had a freind who had the BT3000 and he loved it but a newer saw took it place. No room. But he loved the air table for making the wood slide.

Hi Bob,

I am just now getting around to looking at your shop post. Like snowdog I wish the pictures were bigger so that I could see more details (the last one is fine). But from what I can see you have plenty of space and a nice collection of "toys" to play with. By the way it is amazing that you built this out of … well scraps!!! Your floor is wonderful too. It is vast improvement over concrete.

Bob,

If you are interested, I have a mess of links to various jigs and fixtures for the Ryobi BT3×00 series saws… Tenon jig is no big deal…
